  We have been staying in a hotel almost directly opposite the park's main entrance now for the third vacation and we enjoyed visiting the nature reserve every time. The information point and explanations are well made and also interesting for children, as are the shorter walking routes.

  Lovely idea just impossible to get away from cars driving along the no drivers road so impossible to see any wildfowl not already frightened off by an SUV. Did spot a coot, a mallard and incredibly a chiffcaff. If you want to make this space free to birds and birders alike : stop the bloody traffic and make it a truly free space for birds and birders alike and not tack it onto some hell hole of urbanisation as a Disney land. It’s not a total waste of your time but there are more birds in Bushy Park.

  Have been coming here for over 30 years. The wetlands of the Albufera covers a large area and will take you all day if you wish to walk around. Most people walk the km to the centre and use the bird hides to look from. There is a help and information centre here with toilets and vending machines. Summer holiday makers don’t get to see the best of the wildlife. Spring and autumn are the best times here when hundreds of birds can be seen.The lagoons all but dry up in summer time and the distances needing to be walked in the heat can be very tiring if not dangerous. I really recommend this place. It’s a peaceful place and not so busy with cyclists most of the time.

  Beautiful place to have a walk around, there are various bird spotting cabins and a little wooden tower that brings you just high enough to see the sunset in the south. Lots of wildlife and amazing scenery.

  It's a nice place for natural photos. Bring a long lenses. There are a few hiding spots with pull up latches for your cameras so you stay hidden inside the wooden huts. There are also some watch towers with steps so you can get up and get a higher view.

  If you plan to follow one of the longer paths though, I would recommend good shoes or possibly renting a bicycle instead. As mentioned in other reviews, it can be a bit long if you're not bird watching, but the peace and quiet is a very welcome change from the bustling city streets and beaches.

  Also, one thing to know is that it is not allowed to go jogging/running inside the park. I would have loved to go for a run as well but it is important to follow the rules since they are in place for a reason. The island's nature and wildlife has enough to cope with already and just regular walking/biking can be disturbing enough for the birds and other animals.
